We Have Arrived

We arrived in Spain yesterday and spent time getting to know our host family. We experienced a lot on our first day. We rode bikes to the local grocery store and helped Andrea (one of the daughter's) pick up some items for lunch. Our first lunch was wonderful; we had sushi, a salad, stuff mushrooms and some sort of quiche dish. After lunch we headed over to a pub where we watched Germany win their game. Carmen (the host mom) treated us to a Limon & Nada (lemon & nothing). When the game ended the pub quickly emptied out and it was just us. We left soon after and headed to the community pool. It was nice to lay out and relax in the shade.

After we finished up at the pool we headed back home and got ready to go out to another pub (Cafeteria). We went to a place called Pantagruel where we watched Spain play. We also enjoyed some dinner and drinks.

I also experienced Spanish coffee for the first time. It was very strong.

The evening ended well with Spain taking the win.
